We enjoy our last breakfast with Tom and Doris and then shower and pack up. Today we are just making a leisurely drive south to the Codroy Valley, which will leave us with only a 35 minute drive to the ferry tomorrow morning. We pass the tablelands for the last time and make a stop at Loch Lomond to see the view here. Then we drive a few hours and stop in Cornerbrook for lunch. We were going to try a Jamaican Place but it was closed. We decide to just have McDonalds for lunch.
Back on the road we drive nonstop to the Codroy Valley. It has not rained as promised so we drive to check out the Point Anguille Lighthouse. It is nice but it is quite windy out so we do not linger long. On the way back we check out an old church and graveyard. From there it is a few miles to our BNB for the night. We check in and the owner tells us of a chicken place nearby so we decide to try that for dinner. We get three nice pieces of chicken, fries, macaroni salad and a roll. It is very good and gives us a break from fish. When we get back to our BNB, and go up to our room, it starts to rain pretty heavy. We timed it just right. Good night.
