CNC in the Valley

No where to go, no where to run. I still get out of bed around 0800 but Carol lies around until after 0930. I am still catching up on my writing but getting close. We shower and get ready for a little trip. We catch the 1100 cable car to Stechelberg on the valley floor to see what is there. Answer is, not much. The station, a bus stop, and a landing field for all the paragliders who are jumping from somewhere above Gimmelwald. We walk to and admire a nearby waterfall called Mureenbach falls which says it is the tallest in Switzerland at over 1300 feet. Then we walk along the river to a cluster of buildings we had seen from above that we thought might be a village. It is just a cluster of homes. There is a bus stop nearby and I look at the map and see a town called Isefun that we can catch a bus to from Lauterbrunnen, so we decide to check it out. When we get to the train station and look at the bus schedule to the town there is only one bus every hour and a half or so and the next one to it is still an hour away. We scrap this idea as we don’t want to get back to Gimmelwald that late. We go to the Coop to scrape a little lunch and decide on Pasta salad, chocolate bar, and some pretzel rolls we had from yesterday. We buy the food and catch the cable car to the train to Murren as we did yesterday. Finding a shady spot in Murren was not easy but we find one on a wall and steps to a wooden building. We enjoy our pasta salad and pretzel rolls and then I see that, where is my chocolate look, in Carols eyes. Today’s selection is a dark chocolate with what carol says are almonds but I think they are hazelnuts. Either way it is very tasty. A few cookies we have been carrying around since Munich tops us off.

Couch Potato

We now catch the cable car down to Gimmelwald avoiding the walk we did yesterday. After all it is a healing day. A great day so far we are just going to hang out at the Pension the rest of the day. And now I am caught up, almost. Still have to load pictures.
